Day 1 : Travel from Marrakech to Dades Valley via the Atlas Mountains, Kasbahs Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, and the Rose Valley.
Your Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Fes starts with a pick up from your riad in Marrakech at 8:00 am by your driver guide and heads towards Dades Valley via wonderful views of the high Atlas mountains and remote Berber villages. Arriving at the 17th century Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco. Today, the Kasbah is a UNESCO matrimonial historical site and home to a population of five families. It was once an important stop along the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. It was also a set for many international films and TV shows, like Game of Thrones, Laurence of Arabia, and Gladiator.
After your visit to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, you will have lunch in a local restaurant before you continue the journey towards Ouarzazate - “the Hollywood of Africa” with its beautiful landscapes that attracted many world class movie producers. Here, you have the option to visit the Atlas Film Studios, considered to be the largest film studio in the world. Located in an exotic, red desert scenery
Our drive will continue through the route of the thousand Kasbahs to the Kalaat M'gouna (the rose valley) which is known for it's yearly Rose Festival in May and where pure rose water, lotion, and perfume are produced. Your first day of the 3 day Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Fes ends in Dades Valley. Overnight in a hotel overlooking the valley and includes dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 2: Driving from Dades Valley to Todra Gorge and Merzouga Desert (Camel Trekking, Sand-boarding and Luxury Desert Camping)
There is no doubt that this is going to be the best day of your 3 day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes.
After a delicious breakfast in your riad, you will start traveling towards the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes in the Sahara desert. Along the way, you will notice how different the scenery is compared to what you experienced the first day of the trip. Today, the scenery will be more like a rocky desert with its wonderful, old, muddy Berber villages and palmeraies providing you with many photographic opportunities. You will stop for short hike in Todra gorge; One of the most spectacular canyons in the world and the most popular rock climbing destination in Morocco.
After lunch in a local restaurant, we will continue our journey towards Erfoud, known as the fossils city, and is a great introduction to Moroccan archaeology. Here, you have the option to visit one of Erfoud's fossil museums to learn about Moroccan fossils and the process they go through before locals use them to make items such as tables, plates, and more...
You will arrive to Merzouga desert by 4 pm. Your camel guide will have your camels ready to take you on an adventure into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi; the highest dunes in Morocco (2400 ft). You will enjoy beautiful scenery, an amazing sunset and the quietness of the Sahara desert before you reach your Sahara desert camp. Overnight includes dinner, bed and breakfast.
Day 3: Journey towards Fes via Ziz Valley, the Middle Atlas Mountains, Azrou and Ifrane.
Day 3: Journey towards Fes via Ziz Valley, the Middle Atlas Mountains, Azrou and Ifrane.
We would recommend waking up early in the morning to walk up the dunes to watch what might be the best sunrise of your life. After showering and breakfast in the camp, you will leave the Erg Chebbi dunes to embark on another adventurous day towards Fes via the breathtaking Ziz Valley; one of many oases that dot Morocco’s desert-like landscape, and the Middle Atlas mountains. You will be stopping for panoramic views along the way. Lunch will be taken in Midelt (the Apple City) before we journey deep in the middle Atlas mountains to Azrou; a Berber town with magnificent views of cedar and pine forests. Here, you will be able to see and hand-feed Barbary Macaque Monkeys living in the Cedar Forest, the largest forest in Morocco.
Our adventure continues to Ifrane, a town built in the 1930s by French Colonialists. It is tidy, modern, and feels more like Switzerland with its red-roofed houses, blooming flower beds and beautiful parks, all kept impeccably tidy.
Arriving the medieval city of Fes around 5 pm where your 3 day Marrakech Desert Tour to Fes ends.
